AEStego is a privacy-focused utility application designed to allow users to embed and extract data within images using steganography and optional AES encryption. Your privacy is fundamental to the design of AEStego. The app operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, store, or share personal information.

2. Information We Collect

AEStego does not collect any personal data. Specifically, the app does not:

• Collect user names, email addresses, or contact information
• Track usage behavior
• Collect analytics data
• Use advertising identifiers
• Transmit files or embedded data to any server
• Access your data without your action

All processing occurs locally on your device.

3. Data You Provide

AEStego processes only the data you explicitly choose to use within the app, including:

• Images selected from your device
• Text you enter
• Files you select for embedding

This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.

4. Photos and File Access

AEStego may request permission to access your photo library, save images to your photo library, and access files via the Files app. These permissions are used solely to allow you to select and save images or files. AEStego does not scan, upload, or analyze your photo library or files.

5. Encryption

AEStego optionally uses industry-standard encryption algorithms, including AES-256, to encrypt data before embedding. All encryption operations are performed locally on your device. Encryption keys and passwords are not transmitted, stored externally, or shared.

6. Data Storage

AEStego does not operate any remote servers. Any images or embedded data you create remain on your device unless you choose to share them. We do not store user data in the cloud.

7. Third-Party Services

AEStego does not use:

• Analytics services
• Advertising networks
• Tracking tools
• Third-party SDKs that collect user data

8. Data Security

All processing occurs locally on your device. We implement appropriate technical safeguards consistent with the app’s offline design to protect user data. However, you are responsible for safeguarding your device and any passwords you choose to use for encryption.

9. Children’s Privacy

AEStego does not knowingly collect or process personal information from children. The app does not include social features, accounts, or user profiles.

10. International Users

Because AEStego does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no cross-border data transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date above.
